The winged horses by Marta and Amanda

Around 500 years ago in Tenochtitlan ruled an emperor called Guacapichtli.

In this settlement  there was a very big forest. The animals that lived in this forest where winged horses. Guacapichtli said to the men of Tenochtitlan to take their tools and said to the horses to go to another place because they were dangerous for the children of the village. The men and the horses fought and the men won.

Ten years after the fight, Pegaso the chief of the winged horses came to Tenochtitlan. The children were playing in the prairy and Pegaso took Chinampichtli, Guacapichtli´s son, to a very high and far away cave. In this cave there was a small lake and you could only enter through a little hole. The other children went to Guacapichtli´s house and told her what happened. The chief and Cachiwapichtli, his wife,  said to the people of Tenochtitlan to go immediately to the temple. Guacapichtli told them what had happened and said to the men to look for the cave.

After five months the men said to Guacapichtli that Chinampichtli was in a very high cave where you could only enter through a very little hole, on the outshirts of Pegasoide, Pegaso city.

After two weeks Guacapichtli decided to transform one of the men of Tenochtitlan into an eagle to enter through the hole. To do this it was necesary to have a competition to know who was going to transform. Guacapichtli went to the warlock´s house and told him to make a potion to tranform a man into an eagle.

After nine trials the chief of Tenochtitlan decided that Tinoticlan was the best to transform into an eagle. Tinoticlan drank the potion of the warlock and transformed into a very beautiful and orange eagle. He went to the cave, entered through the hole and caught Chinampichtli. Chinampichtli scraped his arm as he left and two tear drops and two drops of blood fell into the lake.

Because of this the lake became red and salty
