A legend by Phoebe from Exeter University!

We are in a rather dark and cobwebby room, with shelves up to the ceiling, which are overflowing with tattered books and faded, mis-filed papers. In the corner of the room there is a small window which lets some light into the gloom.

An exhausted student has been thrown into the room, and the door locked. This student knows they must write a 10,000 word document by the end of the week or they will be incarcerated in the room forever!

All the books and papers are in a language the student doesn't understand

Two magical creatures appear : Clementina, a fairy with a magic, translating wand and Pachebo the Dust Elf who just likes to stir things up. (He is the anti-hero!)

Clementina plans to use her magic wand to translate the student's fear and panic into imagination and creativity. Pachebo plans to make things a bit more complicated than that.

Pachebo raises so much dust he sneezes himself into a heap. When the dust clears the student realises they can use Clementina's magic wand to pick the lock on the door.

The student and Clementina settled themselves on the grass outside the room.

" It is much easier to think in the fresh air." said the Student to Clementina as they finished off a punnet of strawberries which had been lying nearby.

"True" replied Clementina.  "I think you will do very well with your document after all!"

AND THE STUDENT DID!!!
