The Tale of Akellor by William from Enfield Grammar School

The town of Akellor was situated on the smallest of the Blood Islands.  The rulers of Akellor were a tribe of demon flesheaters and the town was surrounded by marshland and dank undergrowth where an evil army lived.

Many a battle was fought between the two.  The evil flesheaters were running out of flesh and desperately tried to catch members of the evil army for supper, the evil army just liked battling, shooting and killing.

One of the flesheaters and one of the evil army members met up one day whilst washing their socks in the dank, dark, muddy river and began to get on quite well together actually.

They arranged to meet secretly once a week to "catch up" and exchange news.

They became so close that they decided to swap blood (NO, not literally, just a little bit - you know, just enough to become blood brothers kind of thing) and so they did.

The next thing they decided to swap were their guns - the flesheater's gun had a nifty contraption on the end of it which let him chop up normal evil army members into little pieces before scoffing them you see, and the evil army member's gun had one of those evil eyes painted on the side.

Of course, they didn't realise that the two tribes might just notice that they each had a different gun and were quite surprised to be hauled in front of their respective chiefs for a bit of a telling off.

In fact, the chiefs decided to hold a meeting all together (flesheaters and evil army) to decide what to do about these two.

The flesheaters provided the drink (probably best not provide the food don't you think?) and the evil army provided a tasty selection of fish and vegetables (yes, I do realise you might not consider fish and vegetables to be tasty but it's all they could get hold of at short notice and beggars can't be choosers).

Although everyone was a bit edgy to start with they all soon began to get on like a house on fire and quite forgot what they were there for in the first place.  The flesheaters discovered that fish and vegetables was much, much preferable to evil army flesh and the evil army discovered that, once you got past the flesheating bit, the flesheaters were really rather nice.

So there you are...now the town of Akelloor is a happy, friendly place with sellers of fish and vegetables on every street corner and smiling faces all over the place.  No-one cares if you are an evil army member or a flesheater since they decided that they are all much of a muchness anyway and that's that!
