As a starter activity for Design and Technology - looking at plastics and their uses - plus health and safety issues

Students may learn all about cams, gears and other mechanisms with moving parts

Not being "technologically" minded I struggled with the concept here - you can design your own shapes, submit them and even hold races apparently.  For those of you who know a bit more about the subject, am sure it's an excellent site!

Nuffield have produced some wonderful booklets to help with those who need just that little bit of extra support when approaching a new design idea - all free of charge (and, quite frankly, would be useful to ANYONE struggling with the process!)

Build your own roller-coaster and get feedback!  Work out the best layout to get the most speed and thrills!

Leading on from the above activity, this lets you specify height of slopes etc to get the maximum effect!

You are given a sum of money to buy a car of your choice and customise it to enhance its looks and performance - will keep you busy for hours!

Just one of some very good Lego games - have to say some of them are quite complicated but am sure you can do better than I did!
