A mad cat named Kate made off to the sewer bleeding heavily from the ear.
On the streets above, the rain was sweeping along. It was quite quiet and deserted except for the female racing down the road, at the wheel of her car, screaming with glee.
Above the sound of her laughter, and the car stereo, she had heard the screech as her tyre had made contact with the poor creature, but was too far down the road to madness to care.
The cat stopped dead in it’s tracks (well not quite “dead” you understand). It’s ruined head turned slowly until the one good eye locked in on the tail lights of the car, zig-zagging down the road.
Its mouth drew back in a wide snarl and a bright blue beam hissed and sizzled its way to the car, now slewed across the road under a lone street lamp.
A scream of at least 1000 decibels crashed around the wind-swept streets as the car melted, along with its driver, into a stinking puddle of purple plastic.
All was still. The cat stretched, licked its mouldering lip (the other one had met the same fate as the missing eye!) and purred softly to itself………
Five streets away, a motorbike burst into life and started to make its way home.
The cat’s ear (yes, you’ve guessed it!) pricked up. A gleeful grimace crossed its face as it carefully laid itself down in the middle of the road to wait………………………..
