Tale Traveller
Explore the world in your imagination! Tales from around the globe. A good introduction to stories from other cultures – and fun, too!
In this Workshop we shall look at:
a selection of tales from countries across the world - the students will have the opportunity to make "requests"!
the similarities and differences in the tales and compare best bits - who does it best?
the students will then, either individually, or in small groups, choose a country and create a legend or tale using the ideas and recommendations from the previous activity
each student or group will "tell" their tale to the rest of the class
The students will be encouraged to look at language, imagery, expression and humour when creating their tales, always bearing in mind the culture of the country they have chosen.
