Putting the Story back into Hi-Story!!

The content of these shows are the consequence of research in Archive and Record Offices and of many conversations and appeals for help from descendants and relatives - and even some time spent with survivors of these moments in history. This is a combination of traditional historical research method and Oral History with a seasoning of storytelling!

Historical documents can’t tell us everything about our past. Too often history concentrates on the big events and the famous people – but everyone has a story to tell about their life, which is unique. Anyone who feels they have archive material or recollections / oral history of events and times suitable for a programme are encouraged to email us. Don’t let the real voices of the past wither away. If we are ever to learn from humanities past, then the collection of oral history and family memories is essential.
